hey guys,

just trying to setup my htpc with my harmony one and ir receiver

setup
2 moniters
using pc with dvi-hdmi cord from my pc to play xbmc on my tv

i have set up a device
Media Center PC MicrosoftMCE Keyboard

how can i use my computer with keyboard and tv running xbmc at same time with remote...?

at the moment i have to ctrl tab on my pc to the xbmc running on other monitor

any ideas?? thanks

In Windows remote controls usually work by emulating keyboards i.e. when you press a button Windows receives a key press. The problem is that key presses only go to the app with the focus.

Eventghost can trap the signals from the remote and redirect them to the app of your choice i.e. XBMC. In effect this ties the remote control to XBMC. There is a certain amount of hassle in getting Eventghost working, but there are plenty of people hereablouts who use it.
