[RELEASE] Amazon Prime Instant Video plug-in addon
Does anyone have trouble with videos occasionally stopping and dumping you back to the movie/episode listing? I don't seem to have this problem playing local video files, and the hulu plugin has never done this, but the amazon plugin seemsto play a show/movie for some random amount of time and then just stops. We usually have to resume movies multiple times. Occasionally resume won't be an option and we'll have to fast forward. I notice this same series of messages in the log every time I get dumped:

an update for bluecop and subxinu - looking in the code.google buglist I saw a similar problem which suggested reinstalling librtmp (instructions at http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid...pid1106494) and doing that fixed the problem.

I tried to install this from your repo today and getting installation failed message. sits on 0% download for a few then fails installation. Is this still available?
Disregard it finally downloaded

I'm trying to watch a show with more than 20 episodes, and it won't load all the episodes. I tried the search option, but a search for parenthood wouldn't return the television show.

I'm trying to export my TV shows in my Watch list to my library. Can this be done recursively, without traversing all directories first? It seems that since the directory structure is Television/Show/Season/Files, I have to manually visit each show down to the Season folders in order for the plugin to cache the episode data for export. Otherwise if I don't do that, the shows are exported to the library up to the season level, but actual episodes are missing.

Also, it seems that in the add-on settings, there are the view options of "Season/Show." I think the "Show" option would solve my problem.

Am I missing something?

I bypassed the issue by using the XBMC.MyLibrary tool.

I have been having the same problem for 2 days now. The download never starts. It just failes. I have wiped my system and started fresh with new OS and XBMC install. I am not able to download the Amazon addon. Other addons from the repo download. Could there be an issue with the server?

I think there is, just keep trying it will eventually catch. I have a few friends with the same issue and eventually it will download.

I'm having the same problem, as well. I'm running on Win7, Eden, MQ4 skin, through VPN from Canada to US East on PrivateInternetAccess. Found this in the log:

11:37:52 T:11356 ERROR: RTMP_Connect0, failed to connect socket. 10060 (Unknown error)
11:37:52 T:11356 ERROR: CDVDPlayer::OpenInputStream - error opening [rtmpe://69.31.72.207:1935/ondemand?_fcs_vhost=cp79203.edgefcs.net&ovpfv=2.1.4&auth=da.cid2bIadcgc.bid4bodqbbd3dMdacgbt-bqGci7-FPa-RyMZExr-p8lbrep9n9p3kao9rakTpbsdsXoTn2nUqTlcrap3ncqTlWpXr5jgpes9r9n3oSnUqXmSsWqTn9pclVoesXjd&aifp=v001&slist=ans/107535/h264/WB/3/272/612/331/88/ playpath=mp4:ans/107535/h264/WB/3/272/612/331/88/b2fff780-4d19-43c3-88ae-c0d4912d1e20-217 pageurl=http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001FW58D6 swfurl=http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/G/01/digital/video/streaming/36.0-0/UnboxScreeningRoomClient._V388934788_.swf swfvfy=true]

The same video plays fine through browser (Chrome). hscottm's solution was only for iOS (I think ... correct me if I'm wrong).

Hmm. Every time I launch the add-on i get a quick status circle and XBMC crashes. Same thing happened with EPIX HD. Am I missing something obvious?

a quick question: I'd like to have Amazon prime videos (and Hulu, for that matter) in my watch list show up in my XMBC TV and Movie library (the library of movies and TV shows I currently have on my server). Is there a setting in this where I could do that?

** no response so maybe clarifying: I want Amazon to put what's on my Watch List into my XBMC library (both TV and MOVIES).

I've set it up to send the AMAZON prime app to send library to a custom folder --(unchecked the default folder and set a new folder.)

I don't see anything in that folder after I made the change.... how can I force it to send my Library there.

Will it create a Amazon/Movie folder and a Amazon/TV folder so I can scrape each folder separately?

Does it just send what's on my Watch List? Will is send purchased stuff or just the AMAZON prime free stuff?

Does anyone else have issues with the video/audio sync? I might be having this problem system wide, but it's particularly noticeable in Amazon Prime videos, the audio is ahead of the video. Any idea how I might go about fixing this?

It downloads the plug-in (apparently) but I get an Installation failed error message.

In the log, only two additional lines were added at the time of installation:

12:51:43 T:3520 WARNING: Previous line repeats 2 times.
12:51:43 T:3520 ERROR: Could not read addon description of plugin.video.amazon

Help!?! (PS. Running XBMC 11.0 on a Windows 7 32-bit machine...)

By the way, the Hulu plug-in installed perfectly. Sweet!

Ah... Just realized. If it did not download properly, that might explain the installation failure.

Update: It was a download problem. I kept trying and trying, and eventually, it was able to successfully install. All is well... except I noticed on my XBMC Android version: (1) Hulu simply plays ads over and over... I never get to the real content. I know XBMC on Android is alpha... But something is obviously funny here, and (2) Amazon doesn't play... I need to check the logs, but they aren't where I thought they would be, so I bought Root Explorer so I can explore the entire content of the device (gTablet).

I can't download the addon. When I can, it says it can't update. It won't open, and there is no "Configure" option. What's wrong?
