Stutter/Freeze with DXVA2
#1
Hi,

I'm building a new HTPC/Gaming setup but I'm facing some issues with DXVA2 playback.
Whenever I attempt to skip to the next or previous chapter everything becomes a slideshow and it takes +/- 30s for XBMC to catch up, with DXVA2 disabled I don't seem to have this issue.

This is the setup:

XBMC official release 10.1 and XBMC HD-Audio build 11.x
CPU: AMD 1090T
GFX: 2x ATI 6870 in Crossfire
MEM: 8GB Corsair Dominator
HDD: 240GB Raid-0 SSD Vertex2
OS: Win7 Ultimate X64

File I play:

MKV created myself with MakeMkv from original Blu-Ray discs
Ex: Avatar 42GB or Crank 37GB
Audio is set either to DTS or DTS-Master depending on XBMC build.

If you need any more info, please let me know.

Thanks Smile

Running XBMC in a full-screen window v.s actual full-screen?

Had some "slide-show" effects my self, switched to running in actual full-screen instead of a full-screen window (can't remember exactly where this setting is) and now everything is silky-smooth all of the time.

I'll post the debug log tonight.

I was running in True Full Screen mode.
