Background and Voice Audio
#1
I'm having a problem with some of my HD movies, I believe they are all .mkv's, that the background sound and music are at full volume, but the voices are extremely soft. I tested it on an other PC with VLC and it played it fine. Doing some searching, I found some others with the same problem, but no solution I could find.

Says it's a 'incorrect downmixing of audio' problem, but I can't find much about it. Plus that is for iOS specific forums here.

Although I'm using XBMC Live, I assumed it's the same problem.

Says it's a known problem, but that was 8 months ago, so I was hoping there was a fix or at least a work around for it. With my small knowledge of audio in linux, I messed around with alsamixer and the settings in the XBMC system audio settings to no avail. Or at least the Dev's will know it's not just an iOS problem if it's not a wrong setting on my part.

Thanks

::EDIT::
I was messing with more settings, and different settings with working settings...etc, I switched them all back to how they were, but switched the speaker configuration to 2.1 from 5.1, since I read it's a down mixing issue. While not really knowing what that means, I read that it converted the audio into 2 channels...Long story with faulty logic, but it seems to work now, if it's temporarily or not I don't know, but sound is coming out of my surround sound and I can hear the voices clearly (from the movies).
