where to save advancedsettings.xml
#1
i was told this would be something like /home/.xbmc/userdata

however,
ls /home
returns
admin xbmc

ls /home/admin just gives a list of of files in that folder (nothing special, just a couple .tar.bz2 files)

and ls /home/xbmc returns nothing. i can cd to this directory, but there are no folders/files? where are all the files for xbmc Huh

Where it goes:

/home/xbmc/.xbmc/userdata/advancedsettings.xml

Do an 'ls -als /home/xbmc' since .xbmc is a hidden directory...the dot in front of it. Doesn't show up without the 'a' switch.
If I helped out pls give me a +

A bunch of XBMC instances, big-ass screen in the basement + a 20TB FreeBSD, ZFS server.
