Error when go into console: hub 8-0:1.0: ...

Hello there. My audio in an installed XBMC Live 10.1 is very low. I want to enter ctrl-alt-f1 to f6 to change settings in alsamixer. But all the consoles I go to, ctrl-alt-f1 to f6, they all show a scrolling error, "hub 8-0:1.0: cannot disable port 1 (err = -32)," don't know where this is coming from.

The whole screen is filled with this message. Therefore, I can't type any command at all. In the meantime, my audio volume via hdmi is very low.

Can anyone offer advice?

Thanks

Someone please help. As it is, I can't run any commands in console since it's showing all these lines.

Hello All, just want to inform you that this problem is solved. My RC6 infrared USB receiver was connected to USB 3 port. Therefore, my remote isn't working, and at the same time, I get this message being displayed on every console. As soon as I accidentally plugged this into another usb port, it worked right away, and all the messages I've written here were gone.
