Hi there I have a problem with my audio for XBMC. I think it's a simple fix and it's only due to my lack of knowledge about XBMC.
Basically I have a laptop connected to my TV and I can't make the audio come out of my TV instead it comes out of my lap top, it's hardly audible and I can't make it come out of the laptop any louder.

Audio Output: HDMI or Optical/Coax or Analog
Speaker Configuration: 7.0 or 7.1 or 5.1 or 5.0 or 4.1 or 4.0 or 3.1 or 3.0 or 2.1 or 2.0
Boost Volume Level on downmix: Yes or No
Dolby Digital (AC3) capable receiver: Yes or No

Audio Output Device: iec958 or Defaults or Custom or hdmi

Passthough output Device: iec958 or HDMI or custom

I would really appreciate some help on this.
As you clearly tell I'm new to this forum as of 10 minutes ago Smile.

Need a little more info on your setup and what's connected to what.

Do you have a receiver/amplifier, or is the laptop directly connected to just the TV via the HDMI.

If only laptop -> TV, try:

* Set Audio output to HDMI
* Set speaker config to 2.0 (stereo) (set in windows as well)
* Boost volume level: Yes
* Dolby Digital (AC3) capable: No
* DTS: No

Let us know how you go.
