Multiple Entries in Library w/ MySQL backend
#1
Hello,

I have 10.x working on 3 machines all talking back to a central MySQL server to keep things I've watched in sync.

However the one thing I've noticed is that when I have a movie say in

smb:\\server\share1

and move it to

smb:\\server\share2

XBMC in library mode shows both.

I can remove the invalid one easy enough, but does get tedious for wife acceptance factor. Tongue

Is there a way to have XBMC update the paths where the media is at and auto remove the old paths in MySQL?

Thanks

Does clean library fix it?

If so add the clean on update setting to your advancedsettings.xml

I did a manually clean library from inside xbmc.

settings --> video --> library --> clean library

this did the trick.

So I added

<cleanonupdate>true</cleanonupdate>

to my advancedsettings.xml file. but only on my 'primary' xbmc box. figure only having 1 box make these changes is better than all 3 of them trying.

thanks for the help.

Cool.

Just make sure that your primary XBMC box can see the shares when it starts up otherwise you will wipe the library when it does the clean. If you are manually moving movies between the two shares on an irregular basis it may be safer to do a manual clean as required rather than an automated one.
