I've been running my HTPC off my laptop (Windows 7) for the past year and I decided it's time to build/ buy a stand alone unit.

Yes, I have read the Stickys.

I've been doing tons of research but have been easily confused about exactly what I would need to purchase, and if I should build or purchase. I have no experience building computers but consider myself tech savvy.

I have a 46" LED 3D TV, 7.2 Surround, PS3, and a 2TB external HD (I'd like to upgrade to a NAS) I currently use XBMC for Movies, Music, and ROMs.

I'm looking for something future proof. I control my system from an Android device and would love something that boots quickly.

Any help is greatly appreciated, it's tough what to make of all the info I've read thus far.

I guess I'm group #7 because of the 3D Video. Most of my 3D movies are SBS so I don't believe they are 1080p. I don't really use Hulu or Netflix.

well, as suggested, you can go with one of my builds,
but use a GT430 GPU or HD6450

or, u can go prebuilt using ASROCK VISION 3D, but its like $700 o.O
