Only 2 channel audio from my older LPCM blu-ray rips?
#1
So, I am trying to figure this out. I have some older blu-rays that have 5.1 LPCM tracks. When I play them back in XBMC and have HDMI as the sound source I only get two channel stereo. Yet, if I change the audio setting (still hdmi connected) to SPDIF/optical en I get DD 5.1 via transcoding.

All of the other audio track types seem to work okay over HDMI. Is there a setting that will get these old 5.1 PCM tracks working properly?

Okay I figured out this one too. The default configuration for the intel audio driver is 2.1. You must go in and configure it so it knows you have 5.1, etc sound. After that just select that as XBMC audio driver and you are good to go.
