i still think that amd a6-3600 (2.1ghz 4-core), amd hd6530d, 1tb hd, 4gb of ram, hdmi, usb 3.0, windows 7, etc for $399 is a great deal for him. it's should be better than zotac nd22. the slim case is not very big either. if it sit on its side, it's very similar size as htpc micro atx case. if he want to upgrade it in the future, there is room to upgrade too.

my only concern is the cpu, isnt 2.1 ghz kind of slow. i don't want things to be sluggish.

CPU performance is not all about how many GHz it has...

thar A6-3600 is a QUad-Core!!

forget about sluggishness!!

Gonna go with this one instead, I think it has a better processor and more harddrive space (hdd's are expensive now) and, it's cheaper. I also got a 10% coupon. If I have to I'll add a video card later, I know some ppl say intel graphics aren't good.
