Forced subtitles
#16
Hi,

I'm a little bit confused with "Forced" subtitles.
I'm French, but watch all movies in original audio language (english most of the time).
I'll start to rip all my bluray this week, so I choosed to keep both English and French (for the kids)
I need to add french subtiles to my mkv, but some movies have forced subtitles (avatar in navi spoken parts, KillBill, District 9...)

So let's assume I take the PGS french subtitle, and I mux it into my Avatar mkv (1 video stream + french audio + english audio).
Then I edit mkv header and set french subtitles as forced track.
How xbmc will handle it ?

If I enable subtitle, no troubles I think.
But if i disable subtitles, will XBMC still display "forced" naavi captions and only them?
No needs for special mkv splitter/renderer (LAV filters for example) or use DsPlayer ?

Thanks

Bumping an old thread.
I can't get forced subs to work unless I explicitly enable track 3
