Hi
Thought I'd post here and see if anyone has any ideas.
I'm running XBMC on an ATV1 (Crystalbuntu).
At the moment, I am using RCA (analog) output for audio to route to me old-ish (but still good/powerful) amp.
With analog out, I can get digital audio to play (Dolby Digital, DTS) where it downmixes.
For some strange reason though, movies with MP3 audio and anything non-digital just won't play!
I've seen this mentioned by people who have the same problem but use optical output. The solutions regard how to make optical output the default. This doesn't suit me since I need RCA/analog output.
Why would digital sound downmix nicely, but not ordinary non-surround audio?
Is this an ALSA issue?
Any help with this would be appreciated
Jon
