I am using an old CRT TV with 4:3 ratio in my sleeping room and I would like to have a decent XBMC skin for it. Nearly all skins I tried seem to be designed for 16:9 aspect ratio and get kinda distorted on my 4:3 TV. The only skin I could find that seems to be ok with that is PM3 and this one http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=64234.
Also the font size should be a bit bigger than in normal HD skins.

But I bet there are more. Would be great if you could recommend me some.
It isnt possible to configure 16:9 skins to be scaled correctly to 4:3, is it?

As to configuring the skin to scale correctly, no not really. But if skin was coded to keep this in mind should not be major issue for XBMC to scale it properly for you. Just the same there is only so much you can expect as aspect change is always going to change the look of your background pictures etc.

Have heard that this one is not too bad on 4:3 TV's, but there may be a little bias in the recommendation Smile

Both the Neon and Night skins work quite well with my 4:3 TV. The font is a little smaller than optimal, but still quite readable, at least on my 32" tv from 10 feet away or so. For the most part, it is skinned in such a way so that most items don't have the squished appearance they can have on some HD skins. There are still some view modes that you'd probably opt to avoid on an SDTV, but most of them work fine.
