[iPad] XBMC crashes when playing certain mkv files
#1
So I was planning to use the iPad 1 Wifi (iOS 4.3.3 JB) with XBMC for some anime watching in the hotel room while on vacation, unfortunately though XBMC crashes on me when trying to play several files.

I'm on XBMC PRE-11.0 Git:2011030-28b4457 (Compiled: Oct 31 2011) with touched skin which I installed via the SSH method explained here.

Be it 10 to 8bit reencodes, e.g. [EightBit] Fate Zero - 06 [720p][8bit].mkv or BD releases by Kira-fansub, e.g. [Kira-Fansub]_Ore_no_Imouto_-_13_(BD_1280x720_h264_AAC)_[AF5AD546].mkv
Doesn't matter whether I play them directly from the iPad or via SD card (camera connection kit).

Those files play fine on my Windows 7 XBMC setup btw.

The [EightBit] 8bit reencode in 720p. Usually crashes right away.

File name: [EightBit] Fate Zero - 06 [720p][8bit].mkv

Two [Kira-Fansub] BD rip releases in 720p. First one crashes right away, second one after a few secs

File name: [Kira-Fansub]_Manyuu_Hiken-chou_01_(BD_720p_h264_AAC)_[272E8B34].mkv
XBMC log: http://pastebin.com/T8am0SwK
MediaInfo: http://pastebin.com/uQDKDaih
Download file: Only via torrent

File name: [Kira-Fansub]_Ore_no_Imouto_-_13_(BD_1280x720_h264_AAC)_[AF5AD546].mkv
XBMC log: http://pastebin.com/q7fAzHeJ

A fairly normal fansub release in 720p by [mazui], which shouldn't be resource heavy, but also crashes right away

File name: [Mazui]_Boku_Ha_Tomodachi_Ga_Sukunai_-_05_[D4D567A1].mkv
XBMC log: http://pastebin.com/FHd1Fur7
MediaInfo: http://pastebin.com/n1z8t889

Possibly has to do with the way those files were encoded, since releases from other groups are doing fine?
Any help getting around those crashes would be appreciated, though I am not very optimistic. Sad

EDIT:

Added MediaInfo information and direct download load links where available.

I would suggest that you attach Mediainfo files for each of the videos too.
Man, the Anime scene sure do love their bleeding edge formats (and silly filenames)

Ok, I also added direct download links.
Maybe someone could test one of those files and confirm whether he/she has the same problems or not.
