Hi all

Have spent a while getting my movies, tv and music collections in shape and setting up XBMC. Thrilled with it and bought a HTPC (Aver Revo) to mount behind the tv so I could XBMC on the big tv.

All has gone well and I've been using it along with the Icefilms addon for a few weeks now.

Today I decided to add the BBC Iplayer, ITV player and 4OD addons to it.

Added them first on my desktop machine, all three work fine.

Then added them to the Acer Revo, BBC Iplayer works fine but ITV and 4OD don't play the video. I can navigate the content directories with no problem but no video plays.

Both machines have the Windows Essential Codecs pack on. I thought it best to ask here first, am I missing something obvious? My desktop machine is used for all sorts of things so may have a codec on that the Revo, which only has Win 7 and XBMC on, hasn't?

Any suggestions will be very gratefully received. TIA

I will, I just thought I'd ask first in case it was something glaringly obvious. I've checked through the codecs and they have the same. The only difference is the way they are connected to the net. The working machine is connected to the router by ethernet, the non working one by wifi. When I click on a show I get the activity ring for half a second then nothing,

I go look up how to do a debug log and post it shortly.

Okay, have run a debug log on both machines.

This is from the non working machine. As you can see, it retrieves the listing okay but something's amiss when trying to start the video.

Well, kinda needed the entire log.

In any case, it looks like you are running dharma(can't be sure since i didn't get the entire log). I suggest you update to Eden.

The rtmpe handshake is wrong, how it still works on one of your machines i do not understand. But try Eden on both, and if that fails, full log please.

All sorted now Tobias. The working machine was running a pre-Eden and somehow I had managed to convince myself that I had also upgraded the second machine recently. On checking I found that I was still running a Dharma. I've upgraded the second machine to the same Pre-Eden nightly build as the first machine and now everything is working fine.
