I'm having a weird networking issue that I can't figure out.
(maybe this belongs in the Off-topic forum?)
I'm sharing my videos over SMB/CIFS from a Windows XP pro machine to my XBMC Live box.
I can't access any of the .mkvs that I've added in the last several days.
I can see them just fine, but when I click on them, they don't play.
Here's the weird thing - all of the older videos in the same folder play just fine.
This is not a problem with XBMC; I can't access them from my Windows XP laptop either. I get a "file not found" error on Windows.
Here's what the XBMC debug log says:
These files all play just fine from the Windows machine that they are hosted on - they just can't be accessed over SMB, by XBMC Live or by my other Windows machines.
How can some files be accessible while others in the same folder arent?
Does anyone have a clue about this?
