maybe You misunderstood: the config file depend on the resolution, because lightpack calculates with exact pixels rather than percents like boblight
I callculated this in head, but with this many areas You're better of resizin gthem in the program itself with Your mouse

I really like your tool. Could you change the width field (for dimensions) to a three digit number? This way my tv doesn't fit Oo

Hello,

i have a SEDU-Box with 56 channels of mini-DMX LED-Stripes.

With AtmoWin on Win7 x64 this is running, but there is micro-stuttering while playing video.

So i am looking for an alternative solution.

I have read the thread, but i am not sure, if this combination (Win7 x64, SEDU-Box, Boblight-Plugin for XBMC Eden Beta 3, boblightd for Win) will run or not.
Someone running this combination ? If so, can you provide a boblight-config-file ?

Thanks & Regards,
XBMCManni

I find alot of Q&A on the software side of things, but very little in terms of how to setup the hardware,, I don't have tons of DIY electrical work, but I'm sure I have the skill to throw something together with solder, etc...

does someone have a good guide to build something that works with xbmc & boblight and/or lightpack?

I have tried googling but all i really see are different ways of accomplishing something and not really how to build it.
Links to product websites will help alot too.

I know I'm a noob, but would like to dive in for the high channel count build,,,

----------------------------------------------
secondly, is there a way to duplicate a couple of the light strips so perhaps I can place some behind my front speakers,, I think it would be a pretty wild setup.....

----------------------------
lastly, anyone know a program that may work with sound to produce a light effect that may work better behind the speakers....

So I could connect the USB port from my anduino to my Windows 7 XBMC box and let the addon connect to a linux box for the daemon?

I have a question about this addon (before i invest in a LED strip). It sounds very nice, but the screen i use now has a resolution of 1920x1200, thus I have black bars in almost everything I view (I keep original aspect ratio's). How will this add-on react to this? Will it have much use?

On video that I play in 4x3, the lights on the side work as expected.

As expected being they are black (what is what i expect would hope they didn't :p) or do you mean that boblight is smart enought to not take the black area but the sides of the "image"?

I believe boblight doesnt do any consideration automaticaly.
Everything depends on the config file (which tells the program what areas to merit) You make.
In a word: it can easily be done (try my configurator)

ps: So it will reflect rather on the users intellect (smartness) Rolleyes
