waiting on my lightpack and started doing some reading. As someone who leaves their xbmc box online 24/7 does boblight shutdown the lights when the tv is powered off?

one more thing - is there a key combination that I can create a button for on a harmony remote to toggle this on/off?

What os? I use a script to start/stop boblightd in Linux. Works well, only downside is the spam in the xbnc.log when boblightd isn't running, which leads to this question:

Anyway to disable the boblight add on logging in xbmc.log?

I'm sorry for my delay. I had so much work to do Sad

Here are the photos and the videos showing what I meant:

These two are with custom settings:

These are with "fast" settings:

and a video:

You can see that there is a white light always on Sad

This is my boblight.conf:

I'm using an arduino to control the leds. And with that boblight, everything was going perfect in the raspberry pi. So I think my problem is in the boblight xbmc addon.

Did you try changing the threshold value? To 20 or something like that? Looks like it's set to zero.

Although this is for Windows i suggest you read this topic and check your config http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=145908
I'm 100% sure there is some misconfiguration.

Map a key to point/execute this script (modify to match boblight script) http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid...pid1595159
Works perfect here.

I know it's for Windows but that doesn't mean you can't read it and understand how to adjust settings and why you should adjust them Wink

Edit:
The last time I checked it had more info anyway also check this post and translate to your native language http://gathering.tweakers.net/forum/list...6#40091926

hello guys,

i do not want to be slightly offtopic, but could you please help me with selecting a led string? i am planning to use it with a raspberry and a 42" tv, both for xbmc and also as a remote-controlled ambient lighting for my living room.

i would like to buy the cheapest and have found the following ones on ebay, however i am not sure whether they are long enough to cover the 42" tv. i plan to mount them with velcro, so even though i do not need water proofing, some casing on the leds might be useful for attaching the velcro.

so could you let me know which one would be the best for these purposes?

thanks in advance

oh and I do not want to have an Arduino inbetween, i.e. i am shooting for this setup. Why is having an additional Arduino in the setup useful at all?

Hope this helps to you:

I have this leds.

http://www.ebay.es/itm/230873716903?ssPa...298wt_1165

If you are going to buy the leds from this store, send them a email after the buy telling them you come from this blog (grabthiscode and user davisdmg). They will give you 2$ discount and 5$ if you buy two. (Because I lot of people is coming from my blog).

And here you have the how-to for the raspberry + ambilight: http://www.grabthiscode.com/diy/how-to-s...die-trying

BTW I tried with belcro and it is not a very good solution. I would recommend pvc cahnnel.
