I am about to rebuild my server which currently holds my MYSQL Databases for XBMC.
Can anyone tell me how I would back them up and also how to restore after the rebuild?

Just do a dump to an SQL file and then re-load it post upgrade. You can use the MySQLWorkbench to make it very easy...

Thanks I will try to work out how to do that, I have zero knowledge of MYSQL except what the guide told me to do for XBMC to work.
