New Home for Ember Media Manager (Official Thread)
#1
I've decided its time to give Ember a new home. I've taken it upon myself to not only pick up the code where it was left off and attempt to continue development of it, but I've also create a new site for Ember so that it can be supported easily with forums, a wiki, bug and project tracking. Right now there isn't much to look at, but the source is there and available also on github. I plan to work on a release in the next few days.

Goals
To continue development of EmberMM, because its a great product, that in my opinion is the most stable and useful media manager available, I've tried all others, but yet still come back to Ember.

To provide a site where users can post questions, provide feedback, and in the long run provide an area where users can go for howto's, wiki forums etc.

I've pushed out a new release that updates a few things. A quick summary :

1) Updated to the latest version of sqlite library
2) Updated to the latest mediainfo library
3) Removed the check for .NET within code at launch, not 100% reliable.
4) Cleaned up references
5) Other miscellaneous stuff I can't think off at this point

The downloads can be found at the project site http://ember.purplepig.net/

is this based on the original EMM or EMM-r?
I'm not an expert but I play one at work.

In any case kudos to you and straight away a few requests=== ( will put on tracker as well)
1- Auto Update Library on addition of any new files
2- Auto scrape ( as per predefined parameters)
3- notify ( if seleceted e.g xbmc)
4- download extrathumbs AND extrafanart

Its based on EMM-r since that was the code I could find, and seems to be the most current version available.

Sounds like some good suggestions. I'll look out for them on the tracker, I have a few kinks to work out with my releases first, but then once I've gotten the kinks worked out I'll get to adding new features.

Seems like the host was having some memory troubles, restarting the app fixed the problem for now, I might have to find a different solution for hosting the project, but hopefully I can figure out a way to improve performance etc.
