I know it isn't my computer, because it will connect to my other tv. However, my computer doesn't recognize when I have it plugged into the hdmi ports.

Any idea if there is a way to get my computer to recognize the older tv? The tv uses a blu ray player normally in the hdmi port (tv only has 1), so I have no idea why the computer wouldn't recognize it.

Any help regarding this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Have you done a manual check so that your TV does not, for some reason, change it's settings when you attach another HDMI input? It shouldn't, but who knows...
