In XBMC v11 (Eden) there's no longer a library "mode", but more like a library "view". You can view things as files or as a collective library, and both can show cover art and summaries. If you don't see cover art and summaries then you haven't scraped/scanned your media. Check out:

hmmm not sure if i like it like this, im happy because ive got it working the way i want so far.

Is this something that is going to be added after the beta or in a future beta or has it been removed full stop, if it has why?? it looked very neat and was plain and simple

Viewing TV Shows/Movies in library view (v11) is identical to library mode from v10. The real change is just that you don't have a "library" toggle anymore. Instead you navigate to either TV Shows/Movies or "Files".

It also gives file view the ability to show summaries if you want to browse things in a specific folder structure (like if you have a folder just for "Bob's favorite movies" or "anime"). This can be turned off if you want to use it like the old "file mode" by going to

Settings -> Video -> File lists -> Show metadata in files view

So both "modes/views" are still there, just with more options.
