I'm not sure how many of you have used the Hangout feature in Google+, but it's really cool for video chats/conferencing. It lets you video call with multiple people at the same time. It detects who is talking, and focuses the video feed on that person automatically.
I would love to see this integrated into XBMC! It would be nice to be sitting on the couch watching a TV show, and when a family member video calls me, it will pause the tv show, and show me an alert that I have an incoming call. I could then click to accept or deny the call. If I click accept, it would open the video feed full screen on my TV and I could then talk to the caller.
I know people have asked for video calling support in XBMC before, and I think this would finally be a fairly easy way to integrate that. There is some information on the Google+ API here: https://developers.google.com/+/api/
Now, this is a wishlist request from me. I don't have the programming skills needed to make this happen. But I would love to work with someone that does. I am good at creating layouts and designs. I also have lots of time to test. Anyone interested?
