Mac Mini Eden high CPU usage (PPC)
#1
XBMC Eden knocks my CPU usage up to almost 100%, is there anyway to reduce the usage so that my mini's fans don't sound like an airplane? Also, if there isn't a way to reduce CPU usage is there a way to turn on and off the XBMC application with the Android remote?

Ideally I'd like just to keep the Mini behind my TV running XBMC powered on at all times, but I'm not sure it would be good for it being that the CPU is running so high.

Regarding using Android to kill and start XBMC, you should be able to ssh into the mac mini, and kill/start the XBMC process via a script.

check which render is being used. also investigate 'dirty-region' usage.
