Problem with HD channels on XBMC
#1
Hi all,

I've been using the PVR branch of XBMC for about a month and have tried out several backends, finally settling on tvheadend. After testing them all out I flattened the box and put a fresh install of Gentoo on with XBMC PVR and tvheadend, since then I've not been able to get video from HD channels to display within XBMC. I can happily play them from the web gui on tvheadend but XBMC won't display them. Out of frustration I also setup mythtv on the box and can display HD channels within mythfrontend.

I've tried a few things, changed from ffmpeg 0.9 to the git build, ran with and without VDPAU but it didn't seem to make a difference.

Details of my setup are as follows:

TV Card : Tevii S660 DVB-S2
XBMC : 11.0-PRE Git:8723deb34268077cfebdb1a34ddd02493f1e7497
ffmpeg: N-36812-g4057505 (with --enable-libx264)

I've put my debug log here for a fresh boot starting a HD channel immediately : http://pastebin.com/GZeARL1S

I've cleaned it out a little to get it to fit under the pastebin limit.

If anyone has any ideas I'd really appreciate it. Thanks

Datty

Why do you use external ffmpeg. I recommend using XBMC's internal version.

I built it using an edited version of the official gentoo ebuild which uses external libraries. Setting it to internal fixed it. Thanks!
