I have as of today bought an Apple TV 2 box.

I have jailbroken the box using seas0n pass which has been successful for iOS 4.4.4

I come to install XBMC using the command in Putty on my Windows 7 laptop

and typed in:

apt-get install wget

and I get the message

E: Type 'deb' is not known on line 1 in source list /etc/apt/sources.list.d/xbmc . list
E: This list of sources could not be read.

I have also tried to install NitoTV and possibly install XBMC from there. But I get a similar message trying to install that program.

Anyone any ideas what the issue maybe?

I did but couldn't find anything itself that was working.

Though I restored the device, jailbroke it again and went through the process of install Nito TV all seems to have worked.
