[linux] AAC, mp3 audio mutes
#1
Hello,

I am running linux. Sound works beautifully for all DTS, Dolby, etc... videos.

Motherboard: Asus p8h67m-pro
My settings are "plughw:0,7" for passthrough and output.
Output mode is HDMI

I have an issue with my sound on standard def video. the audio can be AAC, MP3.

It works at first but if i fast forward the audio "mutes", to get it back i have to mute/unmute receiver.

I say "Mute" because it's not really muted. I have to put my receiver ALL THE WAY UP to hear a littl bit of sound.

I ran XBMC on windows 7 with this exact same setup and it worked fine.

maybe i can run a asound.conf to fix this? can anyone assist me please?

Hello!

I think we've kinda the same problem...

I managed to get 5.1 sound but not in XBMC. Instead of hwplug:0,7 I use the device hdmi-remap created by the asound.conf file.

Have you unmuted the soundcards in alsamixer?
