Hi all,

I got myself a cheap chinese IR remote (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...0570457624) to play around with.
After much confusion, I figured out that it reacts to some ambient light in the room where I am trying to set it up for my HTPC. Specifically, when I try to suspend, it wakes the computer immediately unless I hide the receiver in a dark place or cover it with my hand.
It works much more reasonably in another room (suspend/resume works just fine)

Has anyone seen anything like this before?

i own other model from pcremote. cheap, act as keyboard, badly position button.

hated it.

but i dont have any problem with ambient light. it does what it says.
