my xbmc sits on my comp in a room on the other side of the house from my tv/wdtv live setup.
what i currently do:
either a) browse my xbmc library using wdtv's terrible interface.
or b) use imediacontrol (an iphone app) to browse the xbmc library the push the movie to wdtv.
option b isnt the worst. its brilliant for playing remote content on a wdtv live. but it doesnt use the cool xbmc features like boxart, overviews, ratings and such, so i have to look at generated thumbnails and the like
i would rather use the more xbmc-centric apps such as constellation or soulmote because they do take advantage of the additional xbmc infos, but they all are incapable of playing the media on anything other than my computer monitor. so it leaves me wondering why there is no option within xbmc to play on an external upnp device by default?
is there a plugin available to set a default upnp/dlna device as the 'media renderer' or whatnot?
