[linux] screen saver
#1
hi, I have been wondering for some time now, is there a way to tell xbmc to disable turning the monitor into sleep mode if xbmc is in the background ?

whenever i was runnin an app with advanced launcher addon, while i was working on the app, and had xbmc windowed in the background i got black screens from time to time, it took me a bit of time to realize it was the xbmc's screensaver activating.

is there a way to do that or would a lot of code needed to make that an option?

thanks

I used to have the same issue but now I reboot my htpc into windows for emulators, so I don't have an exact answer for you guys but check out http://www.shallowsky.com/linux/x-screen-blanking.html.

Also advanced launcher has a solo mode where it closes xbmc and launches it again when the launched application is closed.
