Hi all,

Both my macbook and imac have set to share its folder to stream movies over wireless to XMBC.

But the movies only can play from my imac but not work in macbook.

I could see the folder/movie which shared from imac on XMBC. And all setting are same as my iMac. But don't why it can't work to play.


Anyone can give me a solution of what is going wrong on my setting.

I think I got permission cos I could find imac's shared folder/movies files on XMBC. It was already to show the files on shared folder from my imac but i can't stream the files accordingly.

Have you actually check the permissions are the same though?

If no permissions, suppose I can't see the shared folder/files on XBMC right. I can see the shared files on TV but no response when i press to play them.

I imagine you would want to enable read access at the very least:

Everyone can: Read-only

or something like that (I don't have another mac so don't know how they appear)
