Can some one please tell me how to revert to beta 2. On xbmcbuntu? Or will rc two be ready soon?

Any one else think the menus are laggy on rc1?

giaur Wrote:ppa does not matter, I always compile xbmc by myself, since there are no packages suitable for install on debian systems. Does tvheadend work like before? I mean authentication support and epg bug we are talking about in this thread.

Live TV works since I disabled automatic live tv at startup .. timing problem ?!

EPG imports are done by XBMC too - but EPG is missed for more and more channels but that seems to be a tvheadend issue since I don't see EPG information in the Webfrontend of tvheadend.

I have reinstalled plain xbmc beta 3 for now, from scratch. I'll wait till PVR RC2.

It is one of the main reasons I use openelec as you can just revert by updating the update folder with the KERNEL and SYSTEM files for the previous release. This means I can test latest builds with the knowledge of being able to revert.

http://openelec.tv/installation/updating
if it seriously wrong and you are unable to boot openelec at all then you can update from USB to...
http://openelec.tv/find-help/documentati...led-update

openelec-pvr available from here...

Can you run the tvheadend backend on openelec?

I believe so, you better check on there forums to make your the drivers for your tv card work.

I am using tvheadend on a server whilst the frontend is on a smaller pc.

https://github.com/opdenkamp/xbmc/tree/Eden-pvr is still rc1? Is pvr eden beta2 available?

There is rc2 here: https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/tree/Eden but this is mainline without pvr support.

What about the official openelec nightly builds?

I'm not looking for another distro. I want pure source code to compile it by myself and install on my debian.

Any chance this is going to get fixed soon? I tried to downgrade to the previous package and it refused to, citing unmet dependancies, so I've been without any live TV for a week thanks to this broken build.

Make that change and it seems all is well again.

EDIT: the full path to the file being xbmc/pvrclients/tvheadend/HTSPData.cpp

Cheers for the link, managed to avoid having to go through recompiling by wiping out the epgdb file in the tvheadend folder and letting it rebuild from scratch Smile

Is there a tutorial on how to do this anywhere?

I've been searching the web, and there's no mention of this. I can only find people running the backend on Ubuntu or a Windows system and running the frontend on OpenELEC.
It would be very convenient for me to run Tvheadend in its entirety on an OpenELEC system, but sadly with no apt-get or similar tool at my disposal I'm baffled on how to do this.
