Just wondering if there's any info for a live version of eden?

It falls back to login screen after a crash and I (like others) don't have a keyboard/mouse attached to the box. Just out of curiosity, why XBMC has to move away from live to "*buntu" style system? It's supposed to be a Media Center, not a desktop computer, IMO. Cheers!!
what info are you looking for?

In fact, it's lot easier over remote ssh session than on a TV screen. It's an annoyance (when it crashes or hangs) then convenience to some extent.

Cheers!!Not sure what you mean by lack of openness, since you can roll your own just fine if you want. Their sources are up on github. And they have a helpful community. Of course, it's a totally different concept from the Xbmc live CD, so you'll me more restrained as to what you can change/add functionality-wise.
cowfodder Wrote:or you could do what I did, install ubuntu oneric cli, then install xbmc and xbmc standalone over topYes, that's what, kind of, I did so far. BTW, what's "Oneric cli"? Do you mean Oneric server or installing for mini-iso? Cheers!!
