What do people think about including the GDB package in the XBMCbuntu liveCD?
That way if XBMC crashes, it will generate a stack trace by default.

it will not, cause there is no symbols in a release package.

in the past, was XBMC built with debug symbols? I saw this post: http://forum.xbmc.org/showpost.php?p=197440&postcount=1 (specifically the section How do I obtain a backtrace)
