I took the decision to move from windows to Xbmcbuntu as i couldnt get smooth 1080 playback - I am glad to say that xbmcbuntu plays 1080 perfectly and after much toiling with the sound I got that working too.
My problem at the moment is that I have my htpc next to my TV in the living room but i also have a TV in the bedroom and i have a cable that runs from there to the htpc so that I can watch in bed. In windows this wasnt a problem i would swap the cable and it would appear on the screen however, with xbmcbuntu I get nothing unless I completely restart the machine.
Does anyone have a fix for this or I'm going to have put up with this for the time being until I can afford a machine for the bedroom (raspberry pi when it finally comes back into stock.)
Thanks
