Will it be possible to save files to a smb shared?
#1
i am trying to figure out a way to make using nzb's (via nzbzone.com or similar) seemless with xbmc (via script or otherwise). will the linkboks integration allow for saving of downloaded files to an smb shared drive? that would be ideal for this (and assume many other) scenario. thanks.

well.. saving over smb already works... so it has nothing to do with linksbox.. but i don't understand what linksbox has to do with saving at all.
Always read the XBMC online-manual, FAQ and search the forum before posting.

hmm it raises an interesting possibility.

use an integrated linksboks to download nzb's to an smb share.

use newsleecher to monitor this directory and auto-download from your news server using the nzb! (newsleecher apparently has this capability if i remember correctly)

deltop - exactly. and then add in the use of dldone to automatically par check, extract and save the files back to an smb shared directory and you could access tv shows in near real time with the speed of usenet.
