Need help with making caps fonts, please?
#1
I have tried to search for a program for OS X that can edit fonts to a caps version only. As Lion have dropped Rosetta, I can't seem to find any tool, that can handle this, because they are ppc applications. I therefore hope that someone can help me making a caps version of a font i'm going to use for my upcoming skin.

The user will be credited. Smile
Thank you in advance!

[UPPERCASE]

Or you can't use it for some reason?

Sorry, have to more specific:

The [UPPERCASE] works fine, but when you have special characters (like éúæøå, etc), xbmc displays them in lowercase, even though uppercase is applied. Sad

I see. Unfortunatelly don't know what could be used for font alterations on OS X Sad

On a side note, I have taken a look at your WIP and IMHO (that might not be relevant at all) it would look very nice if you use nice regular font. Just a thought, it's your work and decisions, naturally.

Tried it out, but it failed upon installation. The only way might be to install linux in a virtual environment.

Thanks, ronie Smile

FontLab Studio says it should be Lion-ready from their website.

Found DoubleType with a quick google, not sure what it can do, but might work: http://sourceforge.net/projects/doubletype/

Easiest way would be to correct that uppercase bug, isn't it ?
I mean, an uppercase 'é' should be 'E', not 'é'.

It's been around for quite some time: http://trac.xbmc.org/ticket/11067 Here's an example in Confluence just by adding the UPPERCASE tag:

You can always uppercase them in your strings.xml first.
