Linux Video crashing and freezing
#1
Exclamation
Hi guys,

I have a problem with my XBMC HTPC build. Whenever I try to play a video file or stream video the first frame of the video displays, but it is really distorted and it's frozen. The system doesn't freeze, it's just the video that freezes.

My XBMC log is here: http://pastebin.com/GbkGAQkP

I'm using Open Elec 2.99.1 Intel x86_64.

The specs of my PC are:

ASRock B75M-ITX
Intel Core i3 Ivy Bridge 3220T - 2.8 GHz
4GB Ram
Vertex 4 120GB SSD
Pulse-Eight USB CEC Adapter

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

double check your audio settings, specially speaker setup and AVR capabilities for passthrough.
and enable debug logging

Thanks for the reply.

I tried changing some of the audio settings but it made no difference. I tried switching off all the passthrough options and changed it from HDMI to Analog.

I did however get some types of video files playing.

A video using the XVID codec and MP3 audio played fine, however a video with H.264 codec and AAC video caused it to crash. Also anything from iPlayer and Icefilms cause XBMC to crash.

Here's my debug log:

Thanks again.

Hi,

I've just tried it without the CEC Adapter and it didn't change anything.
