Is there something like this? For example media center master has downloaded 7 backgrounds per movie. It would be cool if I could hit a button when the fanart is showing to cycle through the options, just to see them or to change it and leave it on a preferred one. This goes even more for music when I would like to see additional pictures available at the click of a button while browsing.

There has been a lot of work in this area implemented by various skins. e.g. Transparency! looks for folders called extrafanart and extrathumbnails inside each movie folder, when it finds your 7 images.. it cycles through them as a backdrop, and the extra thumbs.. view depending .. are pasted on top. There are different ways of handling fan art... from single folders, slideshow and almost collage effects, some with motion. You might save a bit of effort by picking up the add-on 'ARTWORK DOWNLOADER' it does a great job at picking up all your images, making the folders according to specifics you describe.
