Oh yeah true for HTPC use only you wont notice probably, I'm just saying in general then.

my RAM is CL7 and for quite some time it was running at CL9
because i forgot to check ram timing in my BIOS.
when i saw it was running at CL9,
i then changed it to CL7 and honestly,
i dont see a single difference in speed...
