Kodi is in reality a browser, which enables one to bring internet content to the device as addons. The authorities are blaming a box (computer) and software browser aka kodi for the lack of policing of the internet, The Judge states, “The devices marketed, sold and programmed by the Defendants enable consumers to obtain unauthorized access to content for which the Plaintiffs own the copyright," if this is true why would not computer manufactures be liable also? What is ultimately at stake is freedom of the internet. The Judge nor the politicians making the laws understand. It appears no matter what Kodi foundation does in the future is going to stop the stigma of illegality that has attached itself to Kodi.
