So, I installed XBMC, and I am using it to stream video to my TV. But only the ones that were scanned properly show up. Is there a way in which ALL the files CAN be played?

Yes, there is a way. You need to name and structure your files correctly. Then it works 100% of the time.

Hi Tom, what DecK means is that you need to get everything scanned into the library. There isn't any quick way to do this I'm afraid. If films won't scan it's usually because the file has been named in a way that the web site being used doesn't recognise.

you can use file mode, but you will not be able to search for them or put them
in smart playlists etc.
