1.3.3 is uploaded.

I was thinking about giving you the option to change the file name also but I'll save that for later when I've decided about some other plans I have.
Location will have to do for now.

As thica wrote in the old thread, it can't handle the "no name" files, this is the difference between the in house backup and this one, both has its advantages.
I am working on a new version that uses imdb id and tvdb id instead but sadly it's not finished and I don't have that much time to work with atm.

But maybe you can try thica's addon when he releases it.

Hi this is a really great addon I've used it in the past (with old version of xbmc), went to use it today (1.3.3) with xbmc frodo 12 Alpha 5, but got an error.

It processed like 7000 files and got 1 error (13sec to run it), it seems no database updates were made (as it nothing has been marked as watched when I check my video folder), I'm not sure if it was a rollback or if the sql that was ok was never committed.

That's all I see from the log, not sure if that helps you find the bug or not, just thought I'd bring it up in-case there is something that needs fixing.

Quick update I removed futurama from my xml at it worked great, love the script.

This is the xml if it helps you find the bug, perhaps a long file name or strange character in the filename.

I found some other files that were not correctly marked as watched (but no error was thrown) "House - S03E06 - Que Será Será.avi" and "Seinfeld - S03E07 - The Café.mkv" I'm definitely seeing a theme here.

The problem is the "Futurama - S04E11 - 30% Iron Chef.avi" the % sign don't seem to get handled correctly.
Not sure why the encode don't handle it though but I'll look into it.

If you want a quick fix just take that one out of the xml and the rest should run fine.

Good guess andrewps21. About your problem with á and é not being marked I'll look into that too.

Hopefully fixed it now with 1.3.4.

The problem with the % should work on old exports but sadly for the special characters like á and é you need to make a new export-file for them to work properly.

I will have a look at it, but last time I checked there was still no way to do inserts in JSON.
If that still is the case then I guess I have to go back to the old system and make a direct connection to the db to get it to work in Frodo.

Sorry for the lack of news but I'm quite busy and I'm a bit torn which way I should go forward with the addon.
I've looked into JSON a bit and I am not sure thats the best way to go due to the relative slow interface you get through it. I'm not saying the http api was better but there you could do a mass update thanks to the sql updates but in JSON it seems you can't and that would mean very slow imports.

But I haven't given up on it, it's just going a bit slow also due to me being new to JSON.

How slow is "very slow"? The current speed is very nice but even if it were slow it would still do the job...
