Bluetooth remote control on XBMCbuntu
#1
I'm trying to set up a Sony bluetooth remote control with XBMCbuntu. I'm using the instructions on this page - http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=HOW..._BD_Remote. The remote is paired okay, and I've set up the input.conf file - trouble is, I can't get the kernel module, uinput, to work. Perhaps its not even installed in XBMCbuntu.

Does anyone know the secret sauce for getting uinput going on XBMCbuntu? Merely adding uinput to /etc/modules doesn't cut it (sadly!)

This is a bit old ... but, has anyone gotten this working? I've followed the directions here on the latest version of xbmcbuntu (12.04), but I can't get this working.
bluetoothd[578]: Host is down (112)
It seems to see the remote, but uinput never loads (and running modprobe uinput does nothing) and if I try and connect the remote, syslog shows "bluetoothd[578]: Host is down (112)"

Any help, or suggested direction, gratefully received. Smile
