Linux [release] plugin.video.x-sopcast-0.2.21
#46
(2012-05-20, 20:49)ecinema Wrote: This plugin is using the sp-sc-auth executable from sopcast.com. You can try test it from shell.

A simple example of sp-sc command line.
./sp-sc-auth sop://broker.sopcast.com:3912/6001 3908 8908 > /dev/null &
Start to transfer channel 6098, and you can play it on 8908 with VLC or mplayer
by open the url: http://localhost:8908/tv.asf

I have the same problem:

"Script Failed!: Plugin.video.x.sopcast"

It downloads the list, I see the channels. but I can not play the streams.

" If player does not start you need to install lib files in /usr/lib:
http://www.sopcast.com/download/libstdcpp5.tgz "

How can I add the libs, or how can I see if the libs are included?
After the add-on is enabled my XBMC downloads the sp-sc-auth executable from sopcast.com (I see the message on my screen)

I'm using Raspbmc (http://www.raspbmc.com), a minimal Linux distribution based on Debian that brings XBMC to your Raspberry Pi.

Can anyone help me? I'm still waiting for an answer from the developer of Raspbmc

Update:
I've installed Ubuntu+XBMC on a virtual machine in VBox with the Sopcast add-on.

Every channel that I try is offline - for version 0.2.10

Try again later - for version 0.2.6

Still need your help guys

None, so far.

As far as my ubuntu installation goes, channels are still offline - makes me think that the plugin doesn't work

I found another way to watch RO channels on XBMC. Use the Navi-X add-on and search for TV RO within the Navi-X network. Not so many you will find, but still better than nothing

In VirtualBox (XBMCBuntu 12,04) the addon is working perfectly, all channels are playing OK...how it's possible?

Ok, I found the solution!!!

In my case (only tested with 0.2.6 version) I only need open terminal and put:

sudo chmod -R 755 /home/YOURUSERNAME/.xbmc/addons/plugin.video.x-sopcast

And now I playing all channels fine!!!!

Are you watching the streams? Or are you just seeing the channel list....

I have XBMC Eden 11.0 and Ubuntu 12.04 LTS

On Linux, it pleases me very much. The grain would be if it could now give this possibility for the "AppleTV 2".

Good work so far.

It's seems that the add-on need new updated channel list. I'ts easy to do.

It looks great. Now...how can I update the channel list and where do I get it from?

I bought the Raspberry Pi just for this reason only - to make it a Media Center.

Now with the XBMC working on it I can stream all my music, pictures and fullHD movies on my HDTV, and if I can get the sopcast plugin working I can cut the cable subscription

Any idea on where to get the new channel list so I can update it?

I know the I can update it from add-on configuration menu, but where can I find the new channel_guide.xml file?

Modify the official add-on channel.xml (located in the folder add-on, I think) or get the official: http://code.google.com/p/sopcast-player/...ml&can=4&q=

Then open with notepad and edit the streams (called "sop:xxxx").

Doing it as we speak. I'll try first to over-wright the XML from the folder and add to 0.2.6 version, than 0.2.10.

Keep you posted

It just doesn't work for me:

1: over-write the XML file from the 2.0.6 folder, make the zip again and install the addon, result - the plugin doesn't have the correct structure

2: install the 2.0.10 addon version , went to Setting - Configuration - Channel List tab - Download Channel List from server

and added

https://sopcast-player.googlecode.com/fi..._guide.xml

to the Channel list URL - Done - Ok

result - can not parse channel list

I've noticed that https://sopcast-player.googlecode.com/fi..._guide.xml doesn't contain any RO channels

I can not import a new channel_guide.xml from the Setting window

How can I change the channel list and still keep the structure. Can you repack and upload the plugin that works for you with the RO channels?

Thank you in advance
