Hi there

does someone has the GeForce GTX 550Ti in his XBMC running (W7x64)?

I have am looking for a more powerfull graphics card (currently GT220) to be able to
run full-hd 3d in 1080p/120, and of course have best de-interlacing and up-scaling
performance and smooth play-back of 49Hz / 24Hz content.

I have tried ATi, up to 7750, but they failed in conjunction with catalyst drivers / xbmc
settings to recognize the formats and handle the auto-deinterlacing propperly,
also there are jums every some seconds because of sync issues 50Hz vs. 49Hz, while
my old GT220 and the nVidia drivers could manage this.

So any thoughts / experiances with the GTX550Ti so far?

Wait as the 600 series GPU's are coming out shortly.
Nvidia announced the 630 & 640 series like last week.

So you can either get one of them, or you can pick up your 550Ti for slightly cheaper in the next month or so.

I have a GTX 550 TI and W7x64, but no 3D or 120Hz Movies/TV/Projector for testing. For "normal" Movies its absolutely OK and I don't believe its too slow/weak for 1080p/120.

But as SavellM, I also would wait for the 630's & 640's.

Pyromaniac, Are you still running your GTX 550 TI and W7x64. I'm running the same, but when I try to upgrade XBMC to 12.1 or 12.2 I get a lot of dropped frames. I don't have that problem running 12.0 If you don't have this problem, can you tell me what video driver version your running? As it is the only thing that I can think of that could be the problem.
