I can't get it to work it says it created the file and all but it doesn't mute any profanity

OK, so there's been some problems with the original addon, but hopefully those days are behind us now. I'm getting ready to release 1.0 soon which should fix all these issues, and then some. It's still a beta because I haven't had the time to test it fully yet, but for anyone that wants to use this, and doesn't mind using beta software, download it here:

after the subs download for your film, is there any way when using this addon to watch the film without the subtitles being visible? like a use in background mode Big Grin

You don't have to have the subtitles up, it should work either way. The plugin only needs the subtitles when analyzing the movie, they could even be removed and it should still work fine.

i cannot seem to find the option to turn the subtitles off in the film / is there an option for this as i cannot find it, when i click subtitle button when watching it says none, do i just delete the file once film has started or is there an off button for subs that i am not seeing ? Smile

Don't delete your subtitle file just to turn off subtitles, just change it in the playback menu. See here: http://wiki.xbmc.org/?title=Subtitles

Basically, when a video is playing click the little speaker icon to bring up the settings. You'll find it eventually. Smile

It still works for some, it no longer works for others, and it never worked for even others. I was never able to create a universally working version due to all the problems I had with different platforms, network shares, various file types, etc. Feel free to try it out here: https://github.com/crazydevman/mute-prof...master.zip

It works great. I've been using it on all versions of Kodi from 12-17. For some reason it stopped working for me after I changed the filter level one day. I was banging my head on the wall for a while before I realized this was the reason. I'm trying to duplicate what happened and if I do, I'll report back here. This addon is seriously the best in the repository.
