Video Quality issue
#1
I can't help but notice how my WD live hub has better quality (color and a bit sharper looking) than my new XBMC setup that I built yesterday. Did anyone of you have to adjust the color settings or adjust any of the video settings. I have a VIZIO HDTV but I don't think its the TV since I was happy with the video i got out of my WD live hub using the same HDTV. Something is just not as smooth with the picture quality i did have to scale the screen setting on the PC since windows 7 wasn't using the entire screen on my TV. Any advice is appreciated Below are the components of my set up.

My guess would be some settings in AMD Catalyst Control Center. Wait for the AMD guys to chime in with specifics.

So your image was originally underscanning? Have you tried a different resolution? What resolution are you on now? What are you connecting to your TV via? (ie. HDMI, DVI, or VGA)

@john-

Try these-

1. Update the latest AMD CCC from here- AMD Driver Autodetect
2. Disable everything in CCC Video/Quality other than "Enforce Smooth Video Playback
3. Enable DXVA2 with DXVA as Render Method, but disable everything else in XBMC settings/video/playback
4. Disable "Use a fullscreen window rather than a true fullscreen" in XBMC settings/system/video output

>HOW-TO Bitstreaming using XBMC
I refused to watch movie without bitstreaming HD audio!

Yes the image was underscanned by a bit, I am using HDMI.

@bluray

I will try your suggestion tonight after work thanks for the replies.
