I doubt it......and welcome back bud!

@bluray: you doubt?
man, your sure are a special guy lol
I don't like to mess around with under power. I stick to my 50%-70% rule......it doesn't cost me anymore to operate it.....

If it is 65W APU, I woudn't doubt it......

if not, well, now you know LoL ,,,
Let him try Prime95 or transcode blu-ray using HandBrake in the background while watching blu-ray disc.....he'll find out..!

It is align with this "AMD A8-3850 2.9GHz Llano APU Review", and they used a slightly more powerful Intel i3-2105 with HD3000 in their tests.....

With his powerful A8-3870K APU, it should be able to do everything at the same time well.......if he is not planing to use it for anything else other than playback media, would as well downgrade it to A6-3500 (Beer's build) or this very low power APU "ASUS E45M1-I Deluxe AMD E-450 APU".....the A6-3500 and E-450 should be a perfect silent/low power media player.......

There is some testing of the powersupply in this review: http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/A...Review/934

I think i3-2125 in the E-I7 case would be better Smile Smile Smile

Ummm it is a nice build.... now I am doubting if I really need this! Smile

I would like a pc case that I can just trow on the back of a 27" monitor....

Really I am not going to game on this at all..... just Sab and etc....

Now the Acer Revo RL70 is coming to mind....

No longer building this! It will stay here for reference!

I think I was going to extreme with it for something I was not going to use to the fullest.....

My XBMC Box is just an XBMC box. I do everything else on my regular PC.
and I switched out to a 150/150 on the PICO just because I get paranoid I might not have enough power...

Beer, here is my recommended component list for your desktop:

i3-2100 (you can go to MicroCenter, right?)
http://www.microcenter.com/single_produc...id=0359809
$89.99 + tax

ASUS P8H61-I
http://www.amazon.com/ASUS-3-0-SATA-Inte...B004W8EFWK
$79.99

Kingston DDR3 1333 low profile RAM (8GB)
http://www.amazon.com/Kingston-ValueRAM-...002K27KW2/
$43.92

then pickup a 128GB SSD (whatever is on sale that gets decent reviews -- my favorite is Crucial m4) and a case, power supply and if needed to fit the case, an aftermarket cooler. This will all run comfortably under a 120W power supply.
